Concierge.com's insider take:
This intimate design resort, with clean modern lines, bold colors (when was the last time you saw red textiles in a tropical setting?), and free Wi-Fi, is the first in Fiji to offer overwater bungalows (or as the Fijians say, overwater bure). The 10 freestanding units are as lovely as any in Tahiti or The Maldives with eggshell tubs, rainshowers, flatscreen TVs, peek-a-boo glass panels in the floor, outdoor balconies, and swim-off decks. There are also 18 deluxe beach bure that are actually more spacious and less expensive with enclosed outdoor showers and private plunge pools, as well as 17 standard bures on the beach and lagoon. Common spaces include an infinity pool, a small spa, and a library. Tours of the village that leases the land to Likuliku and provides most of the staff are also highly recommended. And while the rates at this adult-only escape are steep, you get three daily meals in the restaurant, and a 5 pm champagne and canape service delivered to your room if you stay in an overwater room. Upon check-in, you'll receive a pareo and carved stone lei to keep, and besides your bathing suit, you won't want to wear much else. Turndown service each night includes scented oils to lull you to sleep. It's extras like this, along with the unspoiled views and outstanding service that make a stay here so seamless.
