Malls, Glasgow

Scotland's insider take:

Two upmarket malls on Buchanan Street, the main shopping drag (mostly pedestrianized) that cuts through the city center, should be on your shopping list. Buchanan Galleries houses both chain stores and small independent shops (220 Buchanan St.; 44-141-333-9898). Farther down the same street, the more upmarket Princes Square mall has great shops and excellent bars, restaurants, and cafés. The decor is heavily influenced by the architectural style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh (48 Buchanan St.; 44-141-221-0324).
