The best hotel in town, the Park Hyatt is in a terrific location, around the corner from the Bolshoi Theatre and within a few minutes' walk of Red Square. Inside, it's modern, with glass-and-steel elevators and 216 large, light-filled beige-on-white rooms with feather duvets. The huge bathrooms have black granite heated floors, spacious showers, soaking tubs, and fluffy robes. Café Ararat dishes up satisfying Armenian nosh, and its Sunday brunch in winter includes Veuve Clicquot. The Park Restaurant also serves a fine, if costly, breakfast. The tenth-floor Conservatory Lounge and Bar has a splendid view. The service is unobtrusive but friendly—although unusually for Moscow, the staff actually smiles.
