New York jewelry designers Pam Diem and Deborah Knox were actresses before becoming jewelry designers, and their bold, brassy line of jewelry evokes old Hollywood and Broadway's golden age. Each piece is handmade and named after the female character, musical, or movie that inspired it—the Daisy Buchanan, for example, a necklace made of two strands of pedal-shaped amazonite and clear quartz and separated by vermeil beads; the Holly Golightly, also a necklace, is made of three braided strands with alternating red, pink, and green briolettes. This, their new flagship store in the former Capricorn Gallery space on Old South Wharf, has been long anticipated by Nantucket shoppers.
