Although Irish glassblowing wizard Simon Pearce has established more than a dozen retail stores around the United States, the Mill is his original American enterprise. Opened in 1981, it's as pretty as the pieces he produces. Here, visitors can gawk at glassblowing artisans and, on the weekends, potters as well. And, of course, pick up wedding presents galore, from linens and throws to pint glasses and cake plates. Lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch at the adjoining restaurant, with a menu of Irish comfort food, is also a work of art.
