The oversize Technicolor pom-poms that garland the exterior of Cargo's warehouse-like building in the Pearl District hint at the quirky wonderland of home design goods sold here. Inside, the walls are hot pink, and vintage rickshaws bursting with inflatable toys hang from the ceiling next to Tibetan prayer banners and rusted Japanese soda advertisements. You can buy everything from seed-beaded African chairs to antique globes, cheap ethnic jewelry to Chinese lanterns. It's a store full of things you never knew you had to have, most of it very reasonably priced.—Colleen Clark
