Concierge.com's insider take:
This is one of the few spots on the Island where the food justifies the sky-high prices. Daniel Boulud opened this branch of his Manhattan restaurant in the Brazilian Court hotel in 2003. The rich menu here follows the four-category setup at Boulud's original: There are classic French dishes like coq au vin or chocolate gâteau under the "La Tradition" banner; "La Saison" features seasonal dishes like chestnut-crusted winter venison. "Le Potager" lists vegetarian options, while "Le Voyage" showcases Boulud's Frenchified take on global dishes (think caramelized salmon, Vietnamese-style; or a brisket-and-beet borscht). The warm gold and terra-cotta dining room has a 60-seat terrace amid the fronded plants of the hotel's front courtyardbook a table there for maximum romance and privacy.
