The cream-and-pink former palace of a local aristocrat is set on 18 acres of landscaped gardens. "Its history enhanced the luxe ambience and the feeling that we were guests of royalty." Rooms with Rajasthani decor have miniature paintings and "a marble bathroom with a bathtub in the middle—something you remember for a long time." Cinnamon prepares Punjabi specialties.
