Easily the best-value hotel in Valencia's historic center, this gem occupies an 1881 townhouse not far from the Jardínes del Turia. The property's owner, Luis Garcia Alarcon, is an architect, and he's put his mark on the decor. Many of the 28 rooms are simply gorgeous, with exposed brick walls, vaulted ceilings, subdued antiques, tapestry-covered headboards, and elaborately crafted quilts. Top-floor rooms have terraces—although the traffic on nearby Calle Pintor Lopez, part of the ring road that circles the historic center, is a constant background presence. The hotel now has a country cousin, the more luxurious Ad Hoc Parque, in front of the famed Escorpion golf course.
