Grand Circle Small Ship Cruises

800 248 3737

From the readers of Condé Nast Traveler:
This cruise line, which sails boats and barges in Europe, Africa, South America, and beyond, offers shore excursions—riding camels to a seventh-century Egyptian monastery, meeting people displaced by the Three Gorges Dam—that include meals at the homes of local families and are "worth every cent." Cabins with wood paneling and brass fixtures are attended by "an amazing crew, who put on entertaining shows after working all day, bless their hearts." Menus are inspired by the destinations; on a trip to Russia, "we had a delicious pickled-cucumber soup called rassolnik." Arethusa will launch in spring 2008 and sail around Greece and Turkey.
