"There's something so magical about floating down the river with all these historical sites around you." These small riverboats concentrate on the waterways of Russia, Ukraine, China, and Europe. "The trips are not all blue water and pretty beaches. There's depth to them." Cabins showcase clean design with Scandinavian light woods, but for some, "they are a little spartan and can be tiny. Ours had barely any space to move around in." Meals are served in single seatings and reflect the regions visited. The company will offer headphones beginning in 2008 so guests can hear every word on shore excursions, such as a tour of St. Petersburg's Winter Palace.
