This eco-conscious property installed 900 solar panels in 2009 and "makes use of the beauty" of its mountain ridge setting. Lodgings are in separate buildings, "some with grass growing on the roof," some set among the trees. All have slate floors, organic cotton linens, and no TVs. Of the "eclectic, locally sourced meals" at Sierra Mar, "I can't imagine eating dinner elsewhere."
