Stucco cottages have pyramid-shaped white-tile roofs, wicker furnishings, patios, and screened lanais at this eighteenth-century historic plantation, now a "grand resort." Grilled mahimahi with okra polenta is a favorite at the Great House restaurant. The "staff were all excellent—they're like pieces of treasure." Keep an eye out for the resident vervet monkeys.
