This century-old Nob Hill neoclassical former insurance office has been expanded five times and today "is beyond incredible." Guest rooms in taupe and pale yellow have mahogany, walnut, and rosewood furnishings. The Dining Room serves Asian- and French-inspired plates like Japanese butterfish or slow-cooked suckling pig, while the more casual Lobby Lounge has "plenty of different desserts" and red wine and chocolate pairings.
