"There's nothing like it in the world." Arrive by hydroplane at this pine, fir, and stone lodge on a barge. Through "the giant windows in my room I could have a bath and watch the eagles sitting on top of the trees." Menus change daily in the dining room, where the large open fireplace, wine pairings, and pastries and desserts "are remarkable." Staff are "well educated about their surroundings. Most of them are handsome too!" Though "it rains a lot," "I cried when I had to leave."
