The Henry Jones is part of a growing waterfront development of reclaimed warehouses that fuses Hobart's maritime past with its fun, tourism-friendly present. Built out of a 140-year-old wharfside jam factory, the 50-room hotel has views over Macquarie Harbor and is a short walk to the restaurants and shops of the hip Salamanca Market neighborhood. Interiors play exposed brick walls and beamed ceilings against contemporary canvases and furnishings. A glass atrium connects the hotel to its excellent restaurant and IXL (read: I excel) Long Bar.
