It doesn't matter how old you are, arriving at this Karim Rashiddesigned hotel in the chic Athens suburb of Kifissia is guaranteed to provoke kid-in-a-candy-store glee. The facade is made up of tiny white swimming pool tiles, the balconies of lemon-lime glass and Lucite (lit up at night, they look like giant cubes of Jell-O). Inside, the high-voltage design isn't just slap-happy eye candy: The 52 rooms and suites really work (think flat-screen TVs, goose-down duvets, huge opaque-green desks with all the necessary connections, and 24-hour room service). Out back is an über-groovy amoeba-shaped pool, a hip bar, a decent restaurant, and a see-and-be-seen terrace. As for the attractive young staff, they sling service, not attitude.
