This 26-room hotel in Paris's stylish eighth arrondissement instantly seduces with chintz fabrics, floral wallpaper, potted orchids, and intriguing objets—vintage ginger jars, Murano glass, and mother-of-pearl–inlaid Syrian accent pieces. The globe-trotting theme continues in the individually decorated rooms, where fabrics from some of the grandest European textile houses (Manuel Canovas, Brunschwig & Fils) animate small but extremely well-thought-out spaces. Room service is prompt and the food delicious, but staff can otherwise be plodding.
