At the quiet end of an idyllic cove, this cottage colony has been utterly remade by master minimalist Christian Liaigre. The decor is elaborately sparebare white walls, dark wood floors, and nary a rounded edge or flourish in sightbut with no sacrifice to comfort. The 37 rooms have buttery linens and walled gardens with giant daybeds (Grandes Suites add settees and bathtubs), and cushioned banquettes make up most of the restaurant's seating. Caveat: At these prices, the service and food could be better.
When to go: Winter brings the beautiful people; spring and summer, attractive rates.
Which room to book: Avoid the noisier Suites Terrasses; Grandes Suites Plages Nos. 20–35 are the most private (doubles, $540–$903).
