The brainchild of London music producer Tom Rixton and his wife, Patricia O'Shea, this 17-bed hotel—the first in fashionable Palermo Hollywood—is wedged in among ultra-cool bars and fusion eateries. With an exterior bathed by night in hallucinogenic shades of apple green and lemon and a spartan interior warmed by touches of 1960s retro, it's centered around a cocktail bar, a kitchen producing tasty tapas, and a lush garden surrounding a sizable pool. Guests can listen to Rixton's mixes in the hotel's "tune zones" or borrow CDs from its library—rooms are wired for sound. A fern-bedecked spa in the basement offers treatments to alleviate jet lag, stress, or the inevitable hangover.
