Like Vogue Café, GQ Bar is the magazine-inspired creation of restaurateur Arkady Novikov. Along with a formal restaurant and a relaxed café, there's a dark-wood bar with plush seating. Here you can mix with models and smoke cigarettes—Russians love that New Yorkers and Parisians are too delicate for secondhand smoke—and suck down $40 cocktails. Order the Pomegranatini: pomegranate and lemon juices, sugar, and Beluga vodka (it's off-menu, but the bartender knows it). When you emerge into the purplish haze rising off the Moscow River, glance right and you'll see spooky St. Basil's Cathedral.
