The hotel La Concha's reopening after a $100 million revamp signals that San Juan's new go-to neighborhood is the tony, gay-friendly Condado. The hotel has reinvented itself as a stylish alternative to downtown's sardine-packed scene, and it comes alive Thursdays through Saturdays as perma-bronzed cleavage and bright shirts flutter around the white-on-white marble floor and leather armchairs. Inventive tapas (lamb lollipops and fusion dumplings) are served, and the movable feast spills out into the beautiful terraced gardens with their rattan love seats and gushing fountains.
