A stunning 86-room property just off the Town Hall Square, the Telegraaf perfectly fuses old and new Estonia, much like its sister property, the Three Sisters. Half its rooms are in an elegant former post office and classically furnished in a cream-and-white palette, while those in the new wing have bolder colors and modern furniture. All bedrooms have clever little service cabinets that can be unlocked by staff to make deliveries—room service, laundry, faxes—to guests. Downstairs, the restaurant, Tchaikovsky, has a Russian-themed menu (a bit too heavy on the caviar), or you can pick something lighter off the bar menu; the spa features a 32-foot swimming pool. The hotel acknowledges its past as a communications hub with suites named after Alexander Graham Bell and Samuel Morse, not to mention quirky carpeting decorated with images of stamps, postmarks, and handwritten letters.
