The best fusion of upscale cuisine and Vegas-style erotic spectacle to come along since the early days of Caesars Palace's legendary Baccanal, Cathouse is Iron Chef star Kerry Simon's racy new addition to the Luxor. His eclectic New American fare includes clever takes on sliders with sweet lobster sandwiches and braised beef short ribs, decadent truffle mac-and-cheese, and a chocolate bread pudding with warm bourbon sauce. As good as the food is, it's the atmosphere that has folks talking: a dimly lit dining room made to resemble an old--fashioned brothel, with crushed velvet banquettes and walls lined with vintage black-and-white shots of prostitutes. Starting around 8:30 P.M., a two-way mirror illuminates to show a -lingerie-clad woman putting on makeup, rubbing lotion on her gams, and changing into other, uh, attire. After 11 P.M., food service stops and it becomes a swanky club (entrées, $19–$70).
