The only thing generic about this polished newcomer is its name. Chef Donnie Masterton, of San Francisco's Azie, culls meat and produce from farms and ranches in the campo surrounding San Miguel de Allende for his imaginative global comfort menu. Look for curried cauliflower soup; a salad of beets, goat cheese, and pistachios; or roasted pork loin with a zingy jalapeño honey glaze. Seating is either in the airy courtyard of this former colonial residence, surrounded by Moorish arches and bougainvillea and covered by a retractable glass roof, or in the sumptuous red dining room with triple-vaulted ceilings (entrées, $14–$20).
