Disregard the hippy-dippy-sounding names (like Draining Onyx and Crystal Quartz Paz for romance, $140 each): The new spa at Mexico's Cabo Azul Resort is inspired, both in design and in services. The relaxing waiting area has comfy white-cushioned chaises next to a whirlpool, while treatments are given in large rooms down pebble-lined hallways by experienced technicians (whose English could be better). The massages are firm, not tentative—a common pitfall at many hotel spas—and the menu of services is comprehensive, from pre-natal massage to anti-aging facials. Another plus is the roof terrace suite, with its own whirlpool, oversized daybed, shower for two, and champagne bar (massages, $95).
