Moscow's newest hotel bills itself as an oasis in the heart of the fastest city on earth, which would make the spa in its basement an oasis within an oasis. The centerpiece is a black-tile pool beneath a massive skylight; the 21,500-square-foot dimly lit facility also has a spacious sauna, a relaxation room outfitted with plush lounge chairs, and 14 treatment rooms. The fragrance of aromatherapy permeates, with hints of citrus oil blending with haw-thorn and honey, peppermint and palma rose. Staff are indefatigably helpful—odd in contemporary Moscow—and wall-length mirrors and sleek, cylindrical showers with multiple showerheads are ubiquitous (massages, $185).
