This beachside spa at the Sala Phuket Resort has worked out all the details: Cooling mist is piped into the corridor where guests enter from the hot beach; each spa suite has an outdoor patio for a pre-treatment signature salt scrub footbath to banish sand; and two beach-facing daybeds with billowing sheets await for outdoor Thai massage. The After Sun Soothing Wrap ($75) with aloe and cucumber cools as advertised but should be scheduled while the sun is still shining so the wrap's tingling menthol will ward off Thailand's notorious midday heat. Post-treatment, linger in a cooling terrazzo hallway lit by a striking floor-to-ceiling chandelier (massages, $60–$75).
