There's no sign at this pork-centric restaurant adjacent to the landmark Canter's Deli. But pig-lovers haven't had trouble finding their way: they just follow the smell of juicy balsamic-glazed pork ribs with warm bacon potato salad. Former Food Network chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo also turn out California-bright creations like raw amberjack with nectarine slices, mint, and serrano chili but for dessert, it's got to be the smoky chocolate crunch bar with bacon bits.
Tip: There is a frequently rotating selection of offbeat brews like Pinkus and Westmalle Trappist Ale (entrées, $22$29).
