5 Rue de Pontoise
The stylish, liberal Left Bank power crowd has adopted this pretty corner bistro in the Latin Quarter as their new canteen. Chef Sylvain Sendra's market-driven menu runs to sophisticated Gallic comfort food like asparagus in a foie-gras vinaigrette with borage flowers, roast baby lamb on a bed of minted petits pois, and rhubarb and strawberry soup with warm sable cookies. His charming wife, Sarah, runs the dining room.
Tip: Don't miss the risotto if it's available (entrées, $22$48).
