A sophisticated restaurant on one of Portland's gritty main arteries, Lincoln is attracting hipsters both young and old. The unfinished space has a chic urban feel, with floor-to-ceiling windows, flickering candles, funky light fixtures, and exposed rafters. Although the food may seem austere—this is unadorned, ingredient-driven cuisine at its most extreme—the small menu delivers. Upscale comfort food like lamb with polenta dominates during the winter, while summer brings brighter fare like lemony butter-lettuce salad and halibut with capers and olives.
