Don't let the come-hither lounge draped in blood orange mislead you; high court at Restaurant DNA is held in the slick but restrained dining room. Here, chef Derek Dammann dresses up underappreciated ingredients like bottarga, which he pairs with Concord grapes and basil, and chickpeas, which are elevated by tender octopus and pickled onions. The rest of the menu is just as inventive, especially the impossibly creamy goat milk gnudi with sage and vincotto and the boudin noir with chanterelles and dandelion.
Tip: Every evening from five to seven, sommelier and co-owner Alex Cruz offers his entire list at half price (entrées, $20$30).
