This Napa Valley retreat, shared by the Vintage and Villagio inns, is the perfect antidote to a rich meal at one the area's famed restaurants. Olive trees, a trickling waterfall, and a fieldstone facade evoke a Provenýal estate; inside are 16 treatment rooms, five spa suites and marble-and-wood men's and women's areas with steam and dry saunas, and there are soaking baths outside. Treatments combine European techniques with locally sourced products such as the floral essential oils used in the aromatherapy Wellness Massage, and the lemon-juniper scented mists and lotions in the lounges. Be warned: The showers require a graduate degree in engineering to operate.
