The first Vida Wellness Spa in the United States occupies a glassy building decorated in earthy tones with hardwood floors and bamboo plants at the Pan Pacific Hotel. Spa-goers await their Ayurvedic treatments, customized to the individual's dosha, with a herbal tea in a spacious lounge with a working fireplace, before being marshaled by mild-mannered staff down dimly lit corridors to the locker room, where amenities include an infrared sauna and vanities stocked with organic products. The three-stage Swedana, the spa's signature treatment, features an Ayurvedic massage with oils and herbs, a steam in a cedar room, and dry-flour brushing to stimulate and exfoliate the skin.
