Antigua + Barbuda hotels
For such a small island, Antigua has a surprisingly wide range of accommodations, including boutique hotels, all-inclusive resorts, inns, and guesthouses, most of them two-story and low-profile. Sister island Barbuda may be sparsely populated (1,200 inhabitants) and blissfully unaware of tourism, but it's gaining in reputation among travelers who prefer even more solitude and privacy. Be aware that rates on the islands fluctuate wildly depending on the time of year: In the winter high season you can pay as much as twice the summer price. In addition, the rate that you're quoted generally does not include the 10.5 percent government tax or the 10 percent service charge.
