Concierge.com's insider take:
Part of the Rosewood collection, Jumby Bay is a secluded getaway for the rich, famous, and hopelessly romantic. Robin Leach used to own a villa at this all-inclusive retreat, nestled on a private 300-acre island two miles off the coast of Antigua. Accessible only by boat (golf carts are used as on-island transportation), the resort has three white-sand beaches, an 82-foot lap pool, lush foliage with rare tropical flowers, 40 recently refurbished suites, and 11 two- to four-bedroom villas with private plunge pools. Rooms are decked out in British Colonial décor, with teak trim, mahogany four-poster beds, dark wicker, earthy printed fabrics, and ethnic objets d'art. Most popular are the oceanview courtyard suites with indoor and outdoor showers. One of the three beaches is a protected haven for the endangered Hawksbill turtle and privacy-seeking newlyweds. The Estate House, a 230-year-old English plantation manor overlooking the croquet lawn, is a busy spot for high tea.
