My husband and I return to Curtain Bluff annually for either Thanksgiving or Christmas. This is a classic resort, where you go to relax and feel at home; if your home included incredibly generous people who manage to surround you in comfort without being pretentious. Lunch on the beach every day is a highlight as is the al fresco dinner where gentleman are in their resort best and women breeze in with summer dresses. The beaches are stunning and you never have to leave the resort, but if you do, there are plenty of stops within a short drive (taxis provided by the hotel and, hooray, they charge to your room!). If you have a large family or a family you enjoy traveling with, this is the place to go. There are no tvs in the room, but I've never heard a complaint-- this is a bonus. Everyone finds something else to do, imagine that.
