Aruba + Bonaire + Curaçao see + do
Despite their small size, the Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao have enough attractionspowder-white beaches, pristine reefs, and distinctive museumsto appeal to a variety of travelers. Beach lovers will want to park on Aruba, which has the most-developed tourism infrastructure, including all-the-trimmings resorts, water-sports operators and after-dark casinos. Many visitors keep to the high-rise strip of Palm Beach, but it's well worth renting a car for a day to explore a bit of the island, especially the rugged windward coast protected by Arikok National Park. Curaçao offers the best mix of town and country. Plan on spending a few days wandering Willemstad and its historic attractions, such as the Museum Kura Hulanda. A rental car is the best way to beach-hop the leeward coast or explore national parks. Bonaire is all about active eco-tourism; if you aren't an avid diver, snorkeler, bird-watcher, or windsurfer, chances are you'll be bored to tears.
