Acropolis, Athens
Posted on: July 10, 2010 at 3:06PM
A tremendously significant monument that is worth visiting by anyone staying in Athens even for just one day. The structure of the building itself demonstrates the excellency of the ancient "Golden Age" architecture. The adjacent ancient Greek and Roman sites of the Propylaia, Erehtheion, the odeion of Herodes Atticus, the agora and the Kerameikos cemetery are also worth visiting whereas the city views from the Parthenon itself are simply breathtaking.
