Healesville Sanctuary, Melbourne
Not worth the trip.

Healesville is a short way from Melbourne and easy enough to get to, but I'm not quite sure I'd say it's worth the trip, especially for a short visit to Melbourne. The Melbourne Zoo is much more conveniently located, and honestly has everything that Healesville has. I suppose that it's appeal is that it's more personal than a zoo and is catered specifically towards Australian animals and wildlife, but you can see all of that and more at Healesville (including the walk-in kangaroo area, and the koala holding area). It made a nice day trip but I'm not sure I would recommend it.
