Bahamas hotels

Few nations the size of the Bahamas can offer visitors such a wide range of lodgings—everything from bare-bones fishing camps, cozy B&Bs, and eco-resorts to luxurious hotels, world-class megaresorts, and privileged private-island getaways. Problem is, they are scattered over scores of islands, so you have to be more careful than usual in choosing your hotel. After all, unlike in the States, if you don't like your first choice, you can't just hop into your car and drive around until you find something better. The next flight may be two days away. We bring you a selection of the best: large and small, moderately priced and outrageously expensive—but all good value.
