In over thier heads

First of, I would like to say this is my first review EVER. (I felt this strongly to start) My husband and I have spent our honeymoon at Sandals Grand Bahamian. The experience so far has been great, however we wanted to end our last night here with a bang. We decided to grab a cab and spend some cash on a memorable dinner at the highly reviewed "Dune". We set our reservation for 8 today (friday) and had been looking forward to it all day. Upon arrival our eyes were not disappointed. The ocean club is beautiful. Dune is beautiful. We sat down and ordered a bottle of wine (over priced but OF COURSE) all good. We decided to split the calamari as an app. LOOOVED it! It had a creamy lemony dipping sauce that was out of this world. Served with pickled vinegary hot peppers, it blew my mind. No ordinary marinara sauce will ever compare, it ruined that for me. My husband and i decided to split the lamb and the lobster for our entree. Thats where this experience turned. The lobster was over cooked, dry, and chewy. It tasted worse than the local diner in our town that doesn't pass the health tests. The dipping sauce left something to be desired. What can a simple melted butter dip NOT fix? Instead we get a creamy spicy buttery thing that makes me think of cheez whiz. I would have asked my waiter for butter had he returned before the meal was cold....... The lamb was no savior to the meal. I have never taken a cooking class in my life but I make a mean rack of lamb. This lamb was fatty, gamey, and disgusting tasting like it had been stored in thier fridge for way too long. My husband and I have worked at restaurants, are frequent fine diners, and have never once complained about a meal. We told the manager we weren't looking for anything free we just wanted him to know how displeased we were....$225 later. We should have stayed at sandals. Shame, shame on you Dune.
