Concierge.com's insider take:
This lovely farmhouse, situated down a tree-lined lane, is a role model for the finest of the island's popular agroturismes (chic farmhouses). Surrounded by rolling countryside with views out to sea and pretty coastal walks all around, it's the perfect place to chill out for a day or two. There are only six rooms in the main house, including the spacious, two-bedroom Wagner Suite, which is great for families. There are also five rooms in a converted 19th-century barn with stone work and wooden beams. All rooms have Wi-Fi. Much of the social interaction takes place in the cozy living room, complete with generous sofas and rocking chairs; there's also a well-stocked games library, and the farmhouse even has its own chapel. The restaurant serves top-notch dishes, often made from its own home-grown vegetables and local fish, and is open to guests only, maintaining a family party feel. A large swimming pool with daybeds completes the zone-out experience.
Closed January to April.
