Concierge.com's insider take:
If you want proof that there's more to Ibiza than foam clubs and 24-hour DJ sessions, look no further than this impeccably sustainable permaculture (beyond organic, en route to biodynamic), socially conscious agroturisme in a lush valley in the rural northeast. The Swiss family Brantschen fell in love with the derelict building and started meticulous renovations in 1994, eventually opening part of their home to visitors in 1998. Now there are four studios and independent houses to let decked out in imaginative but decidedly rustic Indian, Mexican, or Arabic style. Book here if you're in real need of rest and relaxation; there are few distractions on this 27-acre farm, apart from a couple of donkeys and some chickens, ducks, and geese. There's no swimming pool, no AC, no hair-dryers, no freezer, no TV, and emphatically no hunting. Mysteriously, there is an ISDN connection in every room. Peter Brantschen gives seven percent of all profits to third-world causes.
