Concierge.com's insider take:
This beautiful rural hotel, opened in 2004, is a restored 100-year-old farmhouse in a long, wide valley surrounded by rolling hills, fields of clover, and orange trees. The 10 rooms and 14 suites blend Ibicenco (meaning 'of Ibiza'), Arabic, and Asian styles: Some have white walls with wooden beams; others, polished tadelakt plasterwork from Morocco; and there are a number of teak Buddhas here and there, too. The suites have vast Balinese beds piled high with white linens and cushions, and Moroccan-style lounges built around real fireplaces. The spacious bathrooms have tadelakt walls, double sinks, showers, and in some cases, skylights that allow you to lie back in the tub and look up at the stars. All rooms have cable TV, iPod docks, and air conditioning. The spa combines Eastern and Western products and techniques and includes a sauna, hammam, and a 140-foot swimming pool. The combination of decor and luxuries creates a stylish and comfortable base 25 minutes from the towns of Santa Eulalia del Río and San Juan Bautista. Atzaró's big draw, however, is its gorgeous grounds: 25 acres planted with 4,000 orange trees and beautiful scented gardens; this is the place to find some inner—and outer—peace at the very heart of the island.Tara Stevens
