Since 1782, Baltimoreans have flocked to this downtown site for fresh seafood, meat, fruits, and vegetables. Completely rebuilt in 2002, the complex holds 140 merchant stalls. Grab a coffee from Konstant's, a fixture since 1896, and wander the busy aisles to family-owned Faidley's Seafood (410-752-6461; www.faidleyscrabcakes.com), an anchor tenant since 1886 with a raw bar and tubs of crab, shrimp, fish—and even muskrat and raccoon in season (Jan. 1 to March 15).
Open Mondays through Saturdays 8:30 am to 6 pm.
