Barbados hotels

Unlike so many islands spoiled by sprawling seaside mega-resorts, Barbados is flush with smaller, more tasteful properties. There are very few all-inclusive resorts, making Barbados a more interesting, authentic (and markedly more expensive) Caribbean vacation. An even more decadent alternative for visiting families is renting a villa. Agencies like West Coast Villas can help you find your very own seaside manse (246-432-5050; www.westcoastvillas.com).
