there are plenty of things to do inside and a lot of experience to perform, what i like the most it is the fauna simulation, they have created inside the museum a small tropical fauna with animals, i can feel easily the high humidity of the surrounding, very impressive and strongly recommend. if you plan to go, i recommend you to take a look on its oficial website http://obrasocial.lacaixa.es/nuestroscentros/cosmocaixabarcelona/cosmocaixabarcelona_es.html and for local info, i used http://www.world-rt.com/ written by a local guy, may help other travelers
