Belize restaurants
As Belize is essentially a slice of the Yucatán Peninsula, its cuisine, leavened with Caribbean influences, owes much to neighboring Mexico. Visitors eat most meals at their hotels for the simple reason that jungle lodges, outer atolls, and even some beach resorts are often dozens of miles from the nearest settlement—which is why the best of them, including those in the "Hotel" section, put a lot of thought and effort into their culinary offerings.
