This century-old former captain's home has been transformed into a 15-room, shingled hotel with classic Caribbean detailing and charm. There are three distinct levels of accommodation: The exceptionally well-priced original rooms in the main house are modest, with shared bathrooms at the end of a corridor; newer garden units, set amid tropical foliage, are spacious, with stone walls, towering ceilings, louvered doors, and private bathrooms; and the deluxe rooms, two of which are air-conditioned, have the added benefit of spacious verandas and prime sea views. The Frangipani Restaurant serves excellent West Indian food. The hotel's private 44-foot yacht, the Pelangi, also takes guests on cruises through the Grenadines.
Closed early September through mid-October.
